I mean the really amazing thing is…that means…if we all paid $10 per blog…/we/ could own Tumblr.  Can we do that? Forget Yahoo! I’d be more than willing to pay a onetime $10 for my blog to be able to maintain my space away from Yahoo!’s hands. I left all Yahoo! services long ago for a reason!

Yahoo! Just Bought Tumblr for $1.1 Billion

That rumored $1 billion offer from Yahoo! to buy Tumblr? It’s looking like a forgone conclusion at this point. But things are messy and speculative and there are already doomsayers predicting this is a bad idea for everyone involved. But mostly they’re predicting it’s bad for Yahoo!

And now it’s only a matter of time before tumblogs start turning out the lights and closing their doors…
